Did Meanwood Valley inspire Middle Earth?

Summary:	Lord of the Rings author JRR Tolkein (sic) may have been inspired to create Middle Earth while walking through woods in Leeds, whilst working for the University according to Leeds Civic Trust. Dr Kersten Hall (Philosophy, Religion and History of Science), who will unveil a blue plaque at Tolkien’s former home on Monday, also comments.
